Dances
Feel The Magic by Gary Lafferty to Hungry Eves by Eric Carmen
Nice Intermediate dance, with music to die for. The count in the middle is tricky at first, but not impossible. This is proving very popular and we found it a pleasure to teach
Chery Poppin by Neville Fitzgerald & Julie Harris to Candyman by Christina Aguilera
Some of the class enjoyed the challenge of this dance, We enjoyed the challenge of teaching it, but We feel it will have a limited appeal and be one of those dances that does not stay the test of time, shame because it is fun.
Ashes Of Love by Gary Lafferty to Ashes Of Love by Kentucky Headhunters.
Another good intermediate dance by Gary, its easy with an interesting combination of steps that flow to the music. We love the rock beat from the Headhunters, we bought the CD Flying Under The Radar Album for this track and loved every track.
A Knockdown by Geri Morrison to Knockdown by Alesha
We were asked to teach this dance, when We were preparing to teach Knockdown by Maggie G.
I think it made little difference to us because the music did not appeal to us.
Another that will be lost in a short time, its a shame because the dance has it own appeal, if only it had an alternative track, perhaps we will experiment with other tracks and let you know.
Dance Review
Wednesday 28th February our first midweek event with Bobby D Sawyer, was a sell out and the crowd was not disappointed. Bobby was a true Nashville country artist with the charm and manners to match. The vocals and the choice of music was spot on for listeners and dances and the evening was brought to an end with Bobby walking and singing his way around the hall, thanking people for attending and the welcome he had received. If you have not yet had the pleasure of seeing Bobby perform make that on of the things to do before you die you wont be disappointed.
